Utkarsini Foundation

The Utkarsini Foundation is located in Etukuru Village, which is just on the outskirts of Guntur. Our door number is 0-1-11, and it is a typical village-style building. Guntur-522017 is where we receive all our correspondence. Working in a village like Etukuru is different from being in the middle of a big city. It is a bit more relaxed, and we know almost everyone who passes by our front gate. The office is a simple one-story structure that we have been using for a couple of years now. It gets a bit dusty because of the open fields nearby and the wind that blows across the Guntur plains. We spend our days handling various tasks, mostly sitting around a large table we have in the center of the main room. There aren't many shops nearby, so we usually bring our own lunch or wait for the local vendors to come by. The building at 0-1-11 is old but sturdy, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is strong outside. We don't have any high-tech equipment, just the basics like a couple of computers and a printer that sometimes jams at the worst moments. It is a very grounded place to work. We like the quiet of the village because it lets us focus on our work without too many distractions. Most of our neighbors are farmers or small business owners, and they are always ready for a chat when they see the door open.
