Hosiery Yard Corporation

We are located out on Dharapuram Road, right at S. F. No. 258 in the Valayankadu area. It’s a bit of a way out toward Vadugapalayam Post Office, so it’s not exactly in the middle of the main town. Our building is where all the hosiery work happens day in and day out. It’s mostly just a large workspace with machines and lots of fabric sitting around. The noise of the knitting machines is something you just get used to after a while. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the garments and making sure the orders are ready for the trucks. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We have a small desk where we keep the registers and do the daily paperwork. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the big doors open to let some air in. People around here know us as a regular spot for hosiery stuff. We don't do much advertising; we just stick to the work we have on hand. Sometimes there are delays with the yarn deliveries, which can be a bit frustrating, but we just manage as it comes. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do. There’s usually a lot of dust from the cotton, so we’re always sweeping up. It’s just how a factory in this part of the country runs.
