Coton Craft

Out in Palladam, at Mahalakshmi Nagar, is where you will find Coton Craft. We are at No. 2/818-G. It is a bit of a drive from the city center, but we like the space we have out here. Palladam is a good place for this kind of work because there is a lot of history with textiles around here. Our setup is fairly basic. We have the machines, the storage area, and a small corner for a desk. We spend most of our hours checking the quality of the cotton and making sure the patterns are right. It is not always easy, especially when the weather is humid, but we have been doing this long enough to know the tricks. We are a small group and we all do a bit of everything. One day I might be checking invoices and the next I am helping unload a delivery. We don't have a formal dress code or anything corporate like that. We wear clothes that we can get dirty in. The area around Mahalakshmi Nagar is growing, but it still feels like a quiet spot for us to get our work done. We don't do much advertising. We think if the work is good, people will keep coming back. That is the philosophy we’ve always had here. It’s a simple life and we are happy with how things are going for us right now in the shop.
