Mehar Agricultural Works

Mehar Agricultural Works sits on Palia Road in Mailani. We do a lot of repair work for the farmers around here. If a plow breaks or a tractor starts making a weird sound, they usually bring it over to us. The shop is full of old iron parts, welding tools, and the smell of burnt metal and grease. Palia Road is a long stretch of tarmac and we see a lot of people passing through on their way to the fields. I have been working with my hands since I was a teenager, so the work comes naturally to me now. We don't have a computer or anything fancy to figure out what is wrong with the machines, we just look at them and listen until we find the problem. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for a part to come in from a bigger city, but mostly we can fix things right here on the spot. Mailani is a quiet town for the most part, except for when the harvest is happening and everyone is in a rush. The shop floor is always a bit messy with metal scraps and puddles of oil, but we know where everything is. It is just a practical place for people who work the land. We don't spend money on advertising or making the building look pretty, we just focus on the welding and the hammering until the job is done and the farmer can go back to work.
