Vinod Gift Store

My shop is right in the middle of Main Bazar in Raipur Marwar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets on market days. I’ve been running Vinod Gift Store here for quite some time. The building is old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it stays cool inside during the summer. We have all sorts of things packed onto the shelves like toys, some decorative items, and gift sets. I try to keep things organized, but when it’s busy, items end up in the wrong spots. The street outside is always full of motorcycles and people walking. Sometimes the cows wander through too. I open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. Most of my customers are locals I see every week. They come in for a quick present for a kid's birthday or maybe something for a housewarming. I don't use a computer for the accounts; I still use the old paper registers. It's easier that way for me. The fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it works. You can find us easily if you walk down the main strip. It’s a simple setup, nothing like the big stores in the city. We just provide what people need around here. Every day is different, depending on who walks through the door. It gets a bit dusty, but I don't mind much.
