About Sukh Sangam Sweet & Dry Fruit – Food & Beverages in Pali
Sukh Sangam Sweet & Dry Fruit is right at the Ranakpur Akaria Chowk. It’s a loud corner with lots of rickshaws and people shouting, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Inside, the shop is filled with the smell of sugary syrups. We have these big glass jars for the dry fruits, and I spend a lot of time wiping them down because they get fingerprints all over them. The sweets are arranged in the display cases every morning, and it takes a while to get them looking right. I usually have a few bags of almonds or cashews sitting on the floor waiting to be sorted. It’s not a very big shop, so when more than three people come in at once, it feels very crowded. The floor is made of old tile that has a few cracks here and there. I don't have any fancy marketing or a big team, just a couple of us working through the day. Sometimes the heat makes the sweets a bit soft, so we have to be careful about how we store things. We get a lot of travelers passing through the chowk who stop in for a quick snack. I try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the orders right. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now and have seen many people come and go.
