Strong Rope Foundation

You can find the Strong Rope Foundation up in Bandra West. We are in Flat 501 at Bait-E-Fatima on Dr. Ambedkar Road. It is a pretty well-known area, Pali Hills. The building is nice, but our flat is just a regular workspace. We have got a lot of books and papers everywhere. It is where we do all our thinking and planning. Being in Bandra is great because there is so much energy around us. We get people from all walks of life coming through. We aren't a huge organization. It's just a handful of us who really care about making a difference. We don't use corporate jargon. We just talk like normal people because that is who we are. Some days we are very busy with meetings, and other days it is just us drinking tea and figuring out our next steps. We started this foundation because we wanted to provide a bit of support where it was missing. Like a rope, we want to be something people can hold onto. That sounds a bit poetic, but really it is just about being there. We don't have a big marketing budget. Most people find us through friends or by just walking past the building. We like the personal touch. It is better to have a real conversation than to read a brochure. If you are in the neighborhood, we are usually around during the day. Parking in Bandra is a nightmare, so it is better if you walk or take a rickshaw. We've seen a lot of changes in Pali Hills over the years. Some good, some bad. We just try to be a steady presence through it all. It is a lot of work but we like it.
