Shri Parsuram Misthan Bhandar

Shri Parsuram Misthan Bhandar is located right at the Ranakpur Bus Stand. It is a very loud and busy place to be. We see a lot of different faces every single day because of all the travelers coming and going. The buses pull in and out constantly, kicking up dust and making a lot of noise. We start very early in the morning before the first bus arrives. We have to get the trays of sweets ready and make sure everything looks alright in the glass cases. There is not much quiet time here. People are always in a hurry to catch their ride, so they grab something quickly and leave. We spend a lot of time packing small boxes and counting change. The benches near the stand are usually full of people waiting. We have our own little corner where we keep the stoves and the big pots. It gets quite warm inside during the afternoons. Sometimes we talk to the bus drivers when they have a break. They tell us stories about where they are headed. Our shop is just a practical spot for someone wanting a snack before a long journey. We don't have any fancy signs or big displays. Just the usual stuff you find at a bus stand. We keep going until the last bus leaves for the night and the market finally goes quiet.
