Shri Mufatlal Hardware

If you go down to 6 Satyanarayan Marg on the Sindhi Colony Road, you will find our hardware shop. Shri Mufatlal Hardware has been sitting on this corner for quite some time now. It’s the kind of place where things are stacked from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. We have drawers full of bolts and shelves weighed down with heavy tools. Finding something specific can take a minute if I haven’t looked for it in a while, but I usually know where I put it. The street outside is always busy with people going about their business, and we get a lot of folks coming in just to ask how to fix a leaky tap or what kind of nail they need for a fence. I spend a lot of time dusting the shelves, though it feels like a losing battle most days. My stool is tucked right behind the counter where I can see everyone coming in. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here. Sometimes the shop feels a bit dark because we don’t have many windows, but we like the shade when it’s hot outside. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in places, but it holds up. It’s just a simple hardware store where we try to help out the neighbors and keep the bins full. It’s a steady life here on the colony road. We open early.
