You can find Shree T Shirts located out on Jodhpur Road. It is a long stretch of road and we are situated right along it. The workspace is usually full of boxes and bundles of cotton. Making t-shirts involves a lot of different steps, and the floor is often covered in bits of thread or scraps of fabric. We start early because it gets hot later in the day, especially with the machines running. It is not a quiet job; there is always the thumping sound of the presses or the hum of the stitching machines. We do not have a showroom like the shops in the city center. This is more of a working space where the actual production happens. Sometimes trucks pull up to load stacks of shirts, and that makes things pretty hectic for an hour or two. Jodhpur Road can get quite dusty with all the transport vehicles passing by. We keep a small area for ourselves to have lunch and take a break. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it is a local crowd. We focus on getting the shirts out on time without worrying too much about how the office looks. It is a simple setup with high ceilings to help keep the air moving. We have been at this location for some time and have gotten used to the rhythm of the highway traffic outside. It is honest work and the days go by pretty fast.
