About Shree Shiv Kripa Sweets Mart – Food & Beverages in Pali
The Old Bus Stand is where we have been for years with Shree Shiv Kripa Sweets Mart. It is a busy spot because of all the travelers coming and going at all hours. We start the milk boiling early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, so the smell of sweets is already in the air when the first buses arrive. The counters are a bit old and the glass is always getting smudged by people looking at the trays of barfi and gulab jamun. We don’t have a lot of help, just family mostly, so we are always running around. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky with the sugar syrup, but that is just part of the job when you make sweets. I spend a lot of time just watching the people out the window, waiting for their rides or rushing to catch a bus. It is a noisy place with the drivers honking their horns all the time. We have a few benches for people to sit on while they eat, but they are usually full. We don’t do any big promotions or anything like that. We just make the sweets, put them in the boxes, and talk to the people who stop by. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day, and my knees definitely feel it when I get home. But seeing the same faces every morning makes it all feel okay, and we just keep going.
