Shree Raj Guru Pharma

Being at Pani Darwaza 3 means we see a lot of people passing through the gate area every single day. Shree Raj Guru Pharma is just a small part of this busy street. Usually, we start around nine and keep going until late evening. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons so we keep the shutters halfway down sometimes. It is not a very big place but we manage to fit everything on the shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for because the boxes are piled high. We talk to a lot of people who are just heading home or going to the clinic nearby. The street outside is always full of scooters and the occasional cow wandering by. It gets dusty, so there is a lot of cleaning to do every morning before we can really start. We don't have any fancy signs or lights. It’s just a plain shop where we do our daily work. Most of our regulars live right around the corner in the narrow lanes. They stop by to say hello even if they don't need anything. That’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We keep the fan running all day but it barely helps when the air is still. It’s okay though because the work keeps us busy enough.
