Sankhla Watch Company

Our place is Sankhla Watch Company and we are located at 59 Old Sabji Mandi Sarafa Bazar. Being in the middle of both the vegetable market and the jewelry market means there is always a lot going on right outside our door. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting their prices and see the people looking for gold and silver items all day long. It is a very lively and loud spot to have a shop. We have a small corner where we do all our watch work. The space is often filled with the smell of the market and the constant sound of the crowds moving past. We have been here long enough that the noise doesn't really bother us while we are working on small watch movements. We have several shelves filled with spare parts and old cases that we have collected over many years. People coming to the Sabji Mandi often stop by to get their watch straps changed or to buy a new battery cell when theirs runs out. It is a very practical kind of business. We don't have a lot of room for sitting around or relaxing, so it is mostly just us and the work on the bench. The light in Sarafa Bazar can be quite bright in the morning which helps us see what we are doing without straining. We keep the shop open through the heat and the rain. It is just a regular part of the bazar life and we stay until dark. Everything is done right here.
