About Maa Ashapura Furniture – Building & Construction Material in Pali
Maa Ashapura Furniture is located right near the main bus stand at Rani Gaon, which is very close to Rani Station. Since we are so near to where the buses stop, there are always people walking past the shop and you can hear the sound of the engines and the horns all day. The shop itself is usually filled with the strong smell of freshly cut wood and some varnish. We do a lot of the actual assembly and finishing work right here on the floor, so you will often hear the sound of hammers or saws if you come by. We have chairs, tables, and wooden bed frames squeezed into the front area for people to see. It is a bit of a maze to walk through our shop without bumping into a table leg. Sawdust gets on everything we own, no matter how many times we try to clean it up. We are just local people making things that are meant to last for a long time. We don’t have a big separate warehouse, so most of what we have finished is sitting right there on the floor. If someone wants something made in a specific size, we sit down and talk about it over some tea and see what we can manage. It is a bit noisy and messy, but that is just how a real furniture shop is supposed to be. The sunlight comes in through the open front door and shows the dust.
