Ranga Rang Natya Kala Sansar

If you go down to the Old Bus Stand and look around the Housing Bord area, specifically 3 102, you will see Ranga Rang Natya Kala Sansar. We are all about the local theater and arts. It is more of a gathering spot for people who like to act or paint. The room is usually full of props and old costumes that we have gathered over the years. Some of the masks are starting to peel a bit, but they still look good from the back of the room. We spend a lot of time arguing about scripts or how a certain scene should look. It is never very quiet here. Someone is always practicing their lines or banging a drum. We don't have a big budget, so we fix everything ourselves with tape and a bit of glue. The lighting isn't the best, but we make it work for our small shows. People from the housing bord often pop their heads in to see what all the noise is about. We are just a group of friends and neighbors who wanted a place to be creative without having to go all the way into the city center. It is a bit messy and there is always coffee or tea spilled somewhere, but it is our place. We just want to keep the local stories alive in our own small way. There are plenty of chairs for everyone and we are here most evenings.
