Ptml Agritrade India Private Limited is based out of Jorawarpura. We operate from the residence of Godhawari Devi, the wife of Mangiram. It’s house number 01. Jorawarpura is a small community where people look out for each other. Our business is all about agritrade, which basically means we spend our time buying and selling agricultural goods. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We’re usually in everyday clothes, dealing with the local reality of crop cycles and market prices. The office is just a part of the house that we’ve set aside for business. There’s usually a pot of tea on and people coming by to discuss the latest news from the fields. We don't have any fancy software or high-tech setups. We use notebooks and a few basic tools to keep track of everything. It’s a very personal way of doing business. We know our neighbors and we know the people we trade with. Sometimes things are slow, especially when the weather isn't cooperating, and we just have to wait it out. We aren't looking to expand into some massive city office. We like being here in Jorawarpura where we can see what’s happening on the ground. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way to earn a living. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep our accounts in order without making things too complicated for ourselves.
