Prem Namkin Agency

This is Prem Namkin Agency located over by Ghee Ka Zanda and Badsha Ka Zanda. It’s more of a place where we move boxes than a shop where people hang out. We have stacks of namkeen bags piled up almost to the ceiling most days. The area is old and the streets are narrow, so getting the transport trucks in and out is always a bit of a headache. I usually start around seven in the morning to check the inventory and see what needs to go out. It’s dusty work and my clothes usually end up smelling like fried snacks by the time I go home. We don't really bother with decorations or nice furniture because this is a working warehouse space. There’s a small desk in the corner where I keep the ledger and the phone. It’s usually ringing with someone asking about their order or a delivery that’s running late. The floor is concrete and stays cold even in the summer. We handle a lot of volume, so it’s mostly about moving stuff from one pile to another. My back usually aches by the end of the shift from lifting the heavy crates. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what keeps the local shops stocked. People around Ghee Ka Zanda know us as the place with the constant noise of crates being moved around. It’s just a simple agency doing its daily business.
