Prakash Lights All Kitchen Ware is at Dhola Chotra. We have a lot of different things packed into the shelves. One side is mostly bulbs and wires, and the other side has pots and pans. It is a bit of a mix. People come in looking for a specific fuse or maybe a new pressure cooker. The lighting in the shop is very bright because we have to show how the lamps look. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with all the glare. The floor is tiled but some of them are cracked. We have a ladder that stays in the middle of the shop because we are always reaching for things on the top shelves. Dhola Chotra is a good spot, plenty of people walking by. We keep the door open most of the time to let the air in. In the winter, it gets quite chilly so we wear heavy sweaters. The kitchenware section takes a lot of cleaning because dust shows up easily on the stainless steel. We spend a lot of time unboxing new shipments and checking if anything broke during the move. We use a lot of tape and bubble wrap. It is just us here most days, keeping track of what people need. The afternoon is usually the quietest time. We sit and listen to the radio or talk to the shopkeeper next door. Then in the evening, the families come out and it gets busy again.
