Pooja Sale

Out here in Village Bharunda, things move a bit slower than they do in the city. We are part of the Pali district, so we see people coming in from all the surrounding farms. Pooja Sale isn't a big mall or anything like that. It is more of a place where people stop by because they know us and they know we have what they need. We keep a variety of things in stock, but it changes depending on the season and what people are asking for lately. The shop can get a bit dusty because of the road right outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. We usually have a few chairs out front where the regulars sit and talk about the weather or the crops. It is not a formal business environment. Sometimes we close up for a bit if there is a family thing going on in the village. People around here understand that. We don't have a website or a computer system that tracks every single cent. We mostly use a notebook and a pen to keep track of things. It has worked for us so far. Being in Bharunda means we are part of the community, and that is the most important thing to us. We just try to be fair and keep the shelves filled with the basics. It is a quiet life, but it keeps us busy enough.
