Megha Maching Center

Our shop, Megha Maching Center, is located at 47 Pyara Chowk Road, right near the old bus stand. Being near the bus stand means there are always people traveling through and stopping in. We specialize in matching fabrics, which is why we have so many different rolls of cloth lining the walls. It is a bit of a maze inside sometimes because we try to keep every shade of color possible. If you are looking for a specific piece of lining or a blouse piece to match a saree, we probably have it somewhere in one of those stacks. We have been here at Pyara Chowk for a while, and the location is easy to find because everyone knows the old bus stand area. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try our best to keep the fabrics clean. We aren't a big designer boutique. We are just a local shop where people come to get their sewing needs sorted out. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting cloth all day long. We have a couple of stools for people to sit on while they wait for us to find the right match. It is practical work and we like helping people get their outfits together. We keep things simple and honest, just the way a neighborhood shop should be. We usually stay open late to help people who are coming home from work on the bus.
