Mateshwari Batteries

Down on Sardar Samand Road, near the Haddi Mil area, is where you’ll find Mateshwari Batteries. It’s not the cleanest part of town, and our shop is full of heavy lead batteries and boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We mostly deal with tractor batteries and things for people's trucks or home inverters. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually covered in some kind of grease or dust by the end of the day. We have a small desk where we keep the receipts, but mostly we are out front helping someone jump-start something or checking the water levels in their old battery. The smell of acid and metal is just part of the job. We've been here long enough that people know to come to us when their power goes out at home and their backup isn't working. We don't do much talking unless it's about the job at hand. It gets hot in the shop during the summer months, but we have a small fan that does its best. It’s a simple business. We sell a battery, we install it, and we hope it lasts the customer a good long time. There are no fancy slogans here, just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure people have the power they need for their vehicles and homes. We close up when the sun goes down and head home.
