Manak Industries

Manak Industries is tucked away in Sutharon Ki Gali here in Pali. It is a bit of a tight spot to get into, especially when the neighbors have their scooters parked out front. We start the day quite early before the sun gets too high because the Pali heat is no joke once it hits noon. The workshop floor is usually covered in some dust and offcuts from whatever we are working on that week. Most days it is just the sound of the machines and someone shouting over the noise to be heard. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. People just walk in through the main door if they need something. The tea seller comes by occasionally and we take a break for ten minutes. It’s been like this for a long time. The street outside is narrow and Nayapura Ka Bas is a busy area, so there is always some kind of commotion going on. We don't really do much fancy talk here. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and close the shutters when the day is over. Things get backed up now and then and we have to stay late, which is just part of the job. It’s a simple setup we have here. Nothing more than a group of people making things and trying to keep everything running smoothly in this corner of the district. It’s not always perfect, but we get it done.
