Lucky Watch Service

Down here at Dhola Chotra, things are usually moving pretty steady every day. Lucky Watch Service is where we spend our time and it is a very simple setup really. We have some glass cases and our tools laid out on the bench where we can reach them easily without looking much. The light comes in through the front door and we use that as much as we can because natural light is always better for the eyes when you are working on something so small. Fixing watches is what happens here from the morning until it gets dark outside. Most of the time we are just opening up watch cases to see why a battery died or if some water got inside the glass. People in the neighborhood know where we are and they just drop by when they need something looked at or fixed. We don't use any fancy talk or have big posters on the walls to get attention. It is mostly just shelves and the smell of a little bit of oil that we use for the tiny machines. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped if more than two people are inside at once, but we make do with what we have. We have been at Dhola Chotra for a long time now and we know the faces of almost everyone who walks past every morning. It is a local place where things get handled one by one. There is usually a pile of old watches in the corner that we use for spare parts and we keep things simple.
