Jain Marketing

Up here in Gayatri Nagar, things get quite busy during the morning hours. We are right opposite the Housing Board and being near the Gayatri Mandir means there is always someone walking by or bells ringing. Jain Marketing is basically just a small office with some storage in the back. The walls are painted a light yellow that has started to peel a bit near the ceiling. We keep the doors open most of the day to let the air in, even if the dust from the street comes in too. Dealing with the marketing work involves a lot of phone calls and writing things down in big notebooks. The tea stall guy knows our order by heart now. Sometimes the neighbors from the Housing Board come in just to chat or ask about the time. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples arriving all at once. We’ve been at this address for several years and the routine doesn’t vary much. You get used to the sound of the traffic and the specific way the light hits the floor in the afternoon. It is not a shiny corporate place, just where we work and try to keep things organized. The desk is usually covered in papers and old coffee mugs. It can be a bit of a headache when the power goes out, but we just wait it out. It is just a regular local business life for us here in this part of town.
