Jai Mahalaxmi Cards &Prints

We are located right opposite the Post Office in Surajpole. It is a handy location for a printing shop because people can just walk across the street to mail things. We mostly do wedding cards and small printing jobs for local businesses. The smell of ink is pretty strong here, but after all these years, I don't even notice it anymore. We have a couple of old machines that still work perfectly fine if you treat them right. During the wedding season, things get very hectic. There are stacks of paper everywhere and we stay late into the night to finish the orders. People come in with all sorts of ideas for their invitations, and we try to match what they want using the samples we have in the big binders. It isn't a high-tech place, just a regular printing shop where we do the work ourselves. The walls have some old calendars and a few sample cards pinned up. Sometimes the machines get a bit moody and I have to spend an hour fixing a paper jam, but that's just part of the job. Being near the Post Office means we see a lot of people every day. We’ve been Jai Mahalaxmi Cards &Prints for a long time and the neighbors all know us. It is quiet in the monsoon when nobody is getting married, so we just do small bill books and flyers then. We keep the front area swept because paper scraps always fall on the ground.
