Jai Balaji Tea Company

We are located right near Mill Gate. If you know the area, you know it stays busy with all the workers and trucks moving around. We deal in tea. It’s mostly bulk bags piled up, and the air always smells like dried leaves. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit of time. It isn't a cafe where you sit down with a cup; it's more of a place where people buy their supply for home or their small tea stalls. We spend a lot of time weighing out portions on the old scale. The floor is usually covered in a bit of tea dust by the end of the shift. We don’t have fancy packaging or big posters. It’s just us and the tea. People come in, ask for a certain blend, and we scoop it out into bags. Some days the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around, but that's part of the job. Mill Gate is a loud place, so we usually have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the engines outside. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the tea to the people who like to drink it every morning. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. You can find us easily once you get past the main gate area.
