Hari Om Kirana Stores

You can find Hari Om Kirana Stores right at the Akhariya Chowk in Sadri. It’s a busy little corner of the world. Since we are at the chowk, there is always some noise from the scooters and people walking by. Our shop is filled with all the usual stuff you’d expect to find in a kirana store. We have bags of flour, lentils, and all the small things people need for their kitchens every day. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes when a few customers come in at once. We know most of the people who shop here by name. They come in for a bit of salt or some tea leaves and stay for a quick chat about the weather or local news. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling because we try to keep as much as we can in stock. It gets a bit warm in the summer months, but we have a small fan that helps a bit. The floor is old stone and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. We open the shutters early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It’s just a regular life here. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a family-run place trying to make sure the kitchen pantries in Sadri stay full. We’ve been part of the chowk for a long time. The smell of spices is always in the air here. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and it's a bit chaotic.
