Gyatri Jain

I’ve been working out of 51 Sardar Samand Road for as long as I can remember. The name on the door says Gyatri Jain, and that’s me. This road can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up, and the sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoons. It’s a straightforward place. I don’t have a big team or any fancy equipment. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers who come in to handle the heavier stuff. The walls are painted a simple cream color that’s faded a bit over the years. People usually find me through word of mouth or because they saw the sign while driving toward the main junction. It’s not the kind of spot where you’ll find a waiting room with magazines. Usually, if you show up, I’m in the middle of a phone call or looking over some records at the main desk. I like the routine of opening up in the morning and seeing the regular traffic go by. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two and we just sit outside in the shade until it comes back on. That’s just part of life here on Sardar Samand Road. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s a small operation, and we take things as they come without making a big fuss about it. Just honest work being done in a quiet corner of the city.
