Gopal Sweets Sonu Sweets

We have been here at Subhash Nagar Mill Gate for quite some time now. People usually know us as Gopal Sweets Sonu Sweets. It is a busy spot near the gate. We mostly just focus on making the usual sweets that folks around here like to eat during the day or take home. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we keep the trays full. Sometimes it gets crowded in the mornings when people are heading to work or stopping by the mill. We try to keep everything fresh because nobody likes stale mithai. It is a family thing, mostly. We grew up around the smell of sugar and milk. If you walk down the road near the mill, you can’t really miss us. We don’t do much advertising, word of mouth usually does the job for us. People know where to find their favorite snacks. We have the usual stuff, nothing too out of the ordinary, but it tastes like home. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen area making sure the batches are right. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside, but it is what we do. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. The road gets dustier and busier, but we stay right here. Just a simple shop for the locals. That is pretty much our story, just keeping the traditions going day by day.
