Out on Jodhpur Road in Pali Marwar, you’ll find us at Gokul Herbals. We are right across from the Krishi Mandi. It’s a really busy area with trucks and farmers everywhere because of the market across the way. Depending on the season, the air usually smells like dust or whatever crops they’re bringing in that day. We work with herbal products here. Our building is just a simple one-story place where we store the stock and handle the daily business. It’s not a fancy lab; it’s more of a warehouse with a small office area tucked in the corner. We spend a lot of our time checking the herbs and making sure they are kept in good condition. The heat in Pali can be pretty intense, so we have to stay on top of that. We’re a small group of local people. We grew up around here and we know the plants well. We don't have any marketing people or a big logo. We just sell what we have to the folks who need it. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the Mandi traffic, so we just have to wait. We often sit outside on stools when it’s not too hot and just talk about what needs doing. It’s a much slower pace than what you find in the big cities, but we like it this way. We just focus on our herbs and the customers who have been coming to us for years.
