Friends Care Foundation

We are located in Makrani Baas, specifically in Makrani Gali in Bali, Pali. It's a small area and everyone knows everyone. Friends Care Foundation started because a group of us who grew up together wanted to help the neighborhood. We don’t have a big budget or a fancy office. We just work out of a room in the lane. It’s a very local thing. You can hear the kids playing outside and the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We don't have a marketing team. We just do what we can with the time we have. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do. Other days it's a bit quieter and we just drink tea. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little part of it here in Bali. The walls in the office are a bit cracked, and the furniture is old, but it’s ours. We drink a lot of chai while we plan things out. It’s not always perfectly organized. We lose pens and misplace notebooks like anyone else. But the work gets done eventually. We don't like to make big promises. We just try to be there when someone needs a hand. That’s how things work in a place like this. It’s about being neighbors and looking out for each other. We’ve been here a long time and plan to stay here doing what we do.
