We are based out in Atabara, which is near Sojat City in the Pali district of Rajasthan. It’s a much slower pace of life here compared to the big cities like Delhi. The surroundings are more open, and the air feels different. Our office in the village area is simple and built for work. We deal with a lot of local projects in this part of Rajasthan. The sun is usually very strong, so we start our work early in the morning before it gets too hot. We have a few rooms where we keep our equipment, tools, and documents. People from the nearby villages often work with us on our sites. It feels like a community effort in many ways. We talk a lot about the weather because it affects our work every single day. If it’s too hot, the cement dries out too fast. We’ve learned to work with the land and the local climate here. It’s not a corporate setting at all. It’s just a group of people trying to build things that will last. We drink tea in small glasses and talk about the progress of the various sites. Sometimes we have to travel long distances between different jobs because everything in Pali is so spread out. We don’t mind the drive. It’s just part of the job. We’ve been here for a long time and the locals know us well.
