About Duraga Kirana Store – Food & Beverages in Pali
I’ve been running Duraga Kirana Store here at Tagor Nagar 43 for a while now. Most mornings start early because people in the neighborhood need their milk and bread before they head out to work. The shop isn't huge, but I try to keep the essentials stocked up on the wooden shelves. You’ll find different kinds of lentils, bags of flour, sugar, and those small packets of spices that everyone uses. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late and things get a bit messy with boxes piled up near the entrance, but we manage to clear it out. I spend a lot of time just rearranging jars of sweets or checking which soaps are running low. Tagor Nagar is a quiet enough place, though it gets busier in the evenings when families walk by. I usually sit behind the counter near the old fan. It gets quite warm in the summer months, so that fan is a lifesaver. Customers often stop by just to ask about the weather or tell me something about their day while I weigh out their rice. It’s a lot of lifting heavy sacks and writing down things in the ledger book. I’ve gotten used to the smell of spices and the sound of the metal shutters going up and down. It is just a regular shop doing what it does every day. Nothing fancy about the place, just some lights and a lot of groceries packed into every corner.
