Draftman Nakul Devda

I’m Nakul Devda and I work as a draftsman over by the Old Bus Stand on Navlakha Road 2. Most people around here call it the Old Bus Stand even though things have changed quite a bit. My workspace is filled with rulers, pencils, and large sheets of paper. Even though many people use computers now, I still like having my drafting table ready for when I need to see things at full scale. It’s a quiet life for the most part. I spend hours looking at lines and numbers, making sure every measurement is where it should be. Navlakha Road is a busy stretch, but inside the office, it’s mostly just the sound of the fan and the scratching of a pencil. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so my hands kind of know what to do even before my brain finishes the thought. People bring me their ideas, sometimes just scribbled on a piece of scrap paper, and I have to turn them into something a builder can actually use. It’s a lot of responsibility because if I get a number wrong, nothing else works. I don’t have a big team or a fancy title. I’m just a guy who knows how to draw plans that make sense. Most of my clients are just regular folks trying to build a house or a small shop. I enjoy the puzzle of it all and getting the details right.
