Chandramukhi Kirana Store

Started the shop on College Road here in Sundra Nagar a long time back. It is just a small place packed with all the usual things people need for their kitchens like dal, rice, and different types of oils. Every morning starts early around six to get everything ready before the college students start walking by on their way to class. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the narrow aisle when two people try to pass each other with bags. We have wooden shelves that have seen better days but they hold up the heavy jars of pickles and spices just fine. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking sound but it keeps the air moving when it gets hot in the afternoon. People from the nearby houses come in for their daily milk or maybe just a packet of biscuits. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just some tube lights that flicker once in a while. Most days are pretty quiet until the evening when everyone finishes work and remembers they forgot to buy salt or tea leaves. We keep a notebook for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It's just a simple life here, keeping the shelves stocked and making sure the floor is swept at the end of the night.
