Arshad General Store

The store is tucked away in Ward 6 of Naya Bazaar. We are quite close to the Jain Temple, so we hear the bells and the morning prayers every day. It’s a decent spot for a shop. People from the neighborhood come in and out for their regular things. We have been sitting in this same corner for years. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers running the place. The floor is a bit uneven, but nobody seems to mind that much. We see the same faces every morning. Mostly just locals looking for stuff they forgot to buy at the bigger market. The street outside can get muddy when it rains, making the entrance a little tricky. We try to keep things simple and easy. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise. It works well enough for us. We don’t really change much around here because people like things how they are. If you walk past the temple, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun but it’s still there. Just a basic shop for the folks living around Naya Bazaar. We keep our hours regular and close up when the street gets quiet. It is just a normal life for us here in the bazaar. We stay open late if someone needs something.
