Ajanta Watch Company

People know us as Ajanta Watch Company and we are right there opposite the Surana Saray old bus stand. It is a busy spot with all the buses moving in and out all day long. The air gets a bit heavy with the exhaust but you get used to it after a while. We sit at our small wooden desks mostly looking through those little lenses that stay in your eye. There are watches all over the place, some on the wall and many in little plastic trays waiting for parts. It is not a quiet shop because of the street noise and the constant ticking, but it is where we work. We don't have any big signs or bright flashing lights. Usually, someone just walks in with a broken strap or a watch that stopped ticking last week. We spend a lot of time cleaning out tiny gears and making sure the hands move right. Sometimes the parts are so small you can barely see them without the lamp on. The old bus stand brings a lot of different people by our door. Some are just passing through and others live right nearby. We keep the doors open to let the air move through even when it gets dusty. It’s just a simple shop where we do what we know. We have been in this spot for a good while and the surroundings haven't changed much except for the buses getting older and the noise getting a bit louder each year.
