Agarwalo Misthan Bhandar

Out here on Sadri New Bus Stand Road, things are a bit different than they used to be when the old stand was the main hub. Agarwalo Misthan Bhandar has been on this stretch for a while, and we just keep the routine going every day. We open the shutters early to let the cool air in before the heat really kicks in. The road outside is usually busy with people heading toward the new bus stand, so we get a lot of folks just stopping in for a quick bite. We make all the usual sweets and snacks right here in the back. It is a simple setup with just a few of us working the kitchen and the front counter. The tiles on the wall are a little faded and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it works fine for us. We spend a lot of our time just prepping the dough and checking the sugar levels. I like to stand near the door when it is quiet to see who is passing by. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we do our work and go home. We don’t bother with anything corporate or polished because that is not who we are. We just want to make sure the food is ready when people come in hungry from their travels. Some days the flour gets everywhere, and we just have to laugh about it and keep cleaning.
