My office is located in the old Housing Board area, right across from the Sai Temple. It is a quiet spot most of the time, except when there are festivals or a lot of people coming to pray at the temple. The building itself is an older one, the kind with thick walls and windows that sometimes stick when you try to open them. I have been working from this location for quite a while now, and I like that it is a bit tucked away from the main commercial centers. Inside, it is mostly shelves full of files and a big wooden desk where I spend most of my hours. There is a small tea shop just a few steps away where I go for a break, and the owner knows exactly how I like my tea. Most of the people who come here are locals or people who have been told about me by their neighbors. I don't really go for big advertisements or anything like that. I just sit here, handle the paperwork, and talk to people about what they need help with. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving. Life around the Housing Board is slow and predictable, which suits me just fine. I keep my own hours mostly and try to get through the pile of work on my desk before the sun goes down and I head back home.
