Down on Mandia Road, you’ll find us working away at our screen printing shop. It’s not a quiet place. We have the fans running to dry the ink and the sound of the screens clicking into place. Most days, our hands are stained with some color or another. It’s just part of the job. We do a lot of manual work here. It’s about getting the pressure right and making sure the ink goes through the mesh just so. If you walk in, you’ll see racks of shirts or posters drying all over the place. We have to be careful where we step. We’ve been on Mandia Road for some time now. The neighbors know us by the smell of the shop and the stuff we leave out to dry. It’s a simple setup. We have a few big tables and the darkroom for the screens. We don't do things the fast, automated way. We like to see every piece as it comes off the press. Sometimes a screen breaks or the ink is too thick, and we have to start over. It’s frustrating, but that’s how it goes. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to do work that looks decent and doesn't wash off. We mostly just talk about the work and what we’re going to eat for lunch. It’s a good way to spend the day.
