The dust from the road tends to settle on the shiny pots, so we spend a lot of time with a cleaning cloth in hand. People come to us when they are getting married or moving into a new house. They want things that will last a long time, not that cheap plastic stuff. We have been here a while and we know what kind of vessels the local families prefer. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the customers. Sometimes the shop gets very hot in the summer because of all the metal reflecting the sun, but we just drink a lot of water and keep going. It is nice to see a family leave with a whole set of new dishes for their home. We wrap everything in old newspapers to keep them from scratching. That’s how we’ve always done it here. No point in changing things when they work fine.
