Viraj Fasteners is located at G-1/3 in the MIDC area of Boisar. This part of the Tarapur Industrial Area is always humming with activity. We make bolts, nuts, and all kinds of things that hold other things together. Our factory floor is loud and there’s always someone moving crates around with a pallet jack. It’s a big space but we’ve managed to fill it up with machines and raw materials over the years. The air smells a bit like oil and cold steel, which is something you get used to after a day or two. We have a small office area near the front gate where the invoices get filed. Most of us live nearby in Boisar, so it’s a short commute. We don't put on any acts here; it’s a factory through and through. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. The production line keeps moving as long as we have the steel coming in. We handle a lot of bulk orders for construction and heavy machinery companies. It’s repetitive work, checking threads and sizes all day, but it’s important. We have our tea breaks in the small yard out back when we can. The sun gets really hot on the tin roof in the afternoons. We aren't looking to change the world, just making sure the fasteners we send out are solid. That’s pretty much the whole story of what happens here.
