You can find us at Shop No 13, which is part of the Building No. 1 To 5 complex on Shrushti Road. We share the space with Kalluprasad Gupta, who has been here for years. It’s a busy little shop, and there’s always something going on. Shrushti Road is one of those places where everyone seems to be in a hurry, but we try to take things a bit slower inside. The shop isn't very big. We have shelves full of old files and a few chairs that don't match. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage. We started Uddan The Inspiration Welfare Foundation because we saw a lot of things that needed fixing in the neighborhood. We aren't experts with fancy degrees, just people who live here and want to see things get better. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and chat with whoever passes by. It's a good way to stay connected. The complex is a bit old, and the stairs are a little steep, but it’s a solid place to work from. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up and answers it. It’s a simple way to run things, and it works for us. We just take it one day at a time.
