Thakkarsons Auto Ancillary (I) Limited

We’re out in Village Vevoor, located inside the Mehta Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but it’s a good spot for a factory. We make auto ancillary parts, so there’s a lot of pressing and stamping going on throughout the day. The building is large and has that old industrial feel to it. We’ve got rows of machines and plenty of people moving parts from one station to the next. The floor is painted gray, but it’s mostly chipped away now from all the heavy bins being dragged across it. We have a small canteen where everyone eats lunch together. It’s pretty basic, just home-cooked food brought from the village. We’ve been part of the Vevoor landscape for quite some time now. The local people make up most of our workforce. We don't really have a big corporate team; it’s mostly just us managing the day-to-day production. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generators to kick in. It’s just part of working in this area. We focus on getting the orders out on time for the bigger car companies that buy from us. There’s no marketing department here, just a few of us in the small office handling the phone calls and the manifests. It’s a lot of work, but we’ve been doing it this way for years and it seems to work out fine. We just keep the machines oiled.
