Tanjai Kala Mandir

We operate out of Flat No 1 in the Samir Apartment building. You’ll find us in Bhayander East, right on Shah E Alam Cross Road in the A Wing. Tanjai Kala Mandir isn't a big commercial studio or anything like that. It’s a more personal space where we focus on our art. Since we're in an apartment, it feels a lot more relaxed than a typical business. We’ve been here for a while and most of the neighbors know us by now. We spend our time working on various pieces and projects. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped with all the materials lying around, but we make it work. It’s a quiet spot usually, which helps when you’re trying to concentrate. We didn’t see the need for a big storefront on the main road. Being tucked away in Samir Apart suits us just fine. People usually find us through word of mouth or if they live nearby in Bhayander. We handle things ourselves, from setting up the space to finishing the day's work. It’s a bit of a walk from the main station but not too bad. We just keep to our routine and do what we do. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a few of us making things. We appreciate the people who stop by to see what we're up to. It’s a simple setup but it’s ours, and it works for what we need.
