Our office is tucked away on the second floor of the Ashtavinayak CHS building in Vijay Nagar. It’s in Nallasopara East, which is a pretty crowded part of the world, but our building is a bit removed from the loudest streets. We are in Flat Number 209. It’s basically just a regular flat that we’ve turned into an office space. We have some desks, a couple of cupboards, and plenty of chairs for when the neighbors come by. Most of the people we help are the ones living right here in the society or in the buildings nearby. Nallasopara has grown so fast, and sometimes it feels like everything is too big and anonymous. We wanted to have a place that felt more personal. People can just walk up the stairs and talk to us directly. We don't have any fancy phone systems or automated messages. If you call or visit, you talk to one of us. We help people with their savings and small financial matters. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s important for the families here. We see the same faces every month when people come to deposit their bits of savings. It’s nice to know who you’re working with. We just keep things simple, do the paperwork, and try to be a dependable spot for everyone in our little corner of Vijay Nagar. It’s a lot of work, but we like being here.
