Shree Clinic

Shree Clinic sits right across from the Bharat Petrol Pump in Dahanu. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the pump is, so I never have to give complicated directions over the phone. You just tell them to look for the petrol station and we are right there on the opposite side. The traffic can get a bit heavy during the rush hour when everyone is trying to fill up their tanks, so there is usually a bit of noise from the engines and horns. Inside the clinic, it is a bit quieter though. I usually have a radio playing softly in the corner, though sometimes I forget to turn it on. The floor is that old grey tile that stays cool even when it is hot outside in Dahanu. We have a few benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. It is a simple setup, nothing fancy at all. Sometimes people pop in just to ask for directions or to get out of the sun for a minute. I don't mind. We have a water dispenser near the door which gets used a lot during the summer months. The door has a bit of a stick to it when it rains, so you have to give it a good push. It’s been that way for years. Most of our regulars are used to it and don't even think twice about it anymore. It is just a local business.
