Shifa Clinic

Shifa Clinic is at House Number 412, just a short walk from the Shani Mandir here in Palghar. It is a simple place, honestly. We have some plastic chairs in the waiting area that have seen better days, and the fan on the ceiling makes a little clicking noise when it is on high speed. Being so close to the temple means it is easy for people to find us, which is good because the street gets quite crowded on certain days of the week. Most of the people who come in live right here in the neighborhood. They walk over from the nearby houses or get dropped off by an auto. The walls are painted a light color that doesn't show the dust too much, but Palghar is a dusty place anyway. There is a small desk where we keep the register and a few pens that always seem to go missing. We open up early because the morning air is cooler and people like to get their business done before the sun gets too hot. It is not a fancy building with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a regular room where people come when they need to talk to someone. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to sit for a minute and escape the heat outside. We know most of the faces that pass by the door every day, and that makes the work feel a bit more personal.
