Samiya Minerals is based over at Plot No-165 in Kelwa village. You can’t really miss us because we are right near the HP Petrol Pump. If you see big piles of rocks and earth, you are in the right place. We deal with minerals, which basically means we are surrounded by dirt and stone all day long. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We spend a lot of time sorting through materials and getting things ready for transport. The yard can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up, so we usually wear masks or scarves when we are out there. It is a local operation, and most of our days are spent talking to truck drivers or checking the weight of the loads. Being near the petrol pump is handy for the transport side of things. Kelwa is a small place, so we know most of the people who pass by. We don't have a fancy office with a receptionist; usually, you’ll just find one of us out by the gates or near the sheds. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until sunset. Sometimes we have to deal with the rain making everything muddy, which is a bit of a pain, but we just wait for it to dry out and get back to it. It’s just us doing our thing in the village, keeping the mineral supply moving.
