Prestige Castings Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 1 in the Sheela Industrial Area. We are located in Waliv, right across the road from Gyandeep Vidya Mandir. It’s an interesting spot because you have the industrial side of things on our side and the school on the other. Our facility is where we do all the casting work. It’s a heavy industrial environment, so there’s a lot of heat and the smell of cooling metal. We have big machines and molds taking up most of the floor space. It’s definitely not a place for office shoes; we all wear heavy boots and gear. The walls are stained from the smoke and the work we do. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. Usually, if someone comes by, they just meet us near the main gate or in the small office area we partitioned off. We work in shifts to keep the production going. It’s tough work and it gets very sweaty, especially during the summer months in Waliv. We don't talk much while the machines are running because it’s just too loud. We focus on the molds and making sure the metal pours right. It’s a very physical job and we go home pretty tired every day. We’ve been in this Sheela Industrial Area spot for quite some time and we know the other owners around here.
